Upper Sioux Agency State Park near Granite Falls is one of 4 Minnesota state parks that remain closed even though the state government shutdown ended last week. Upper Sioux was hit hard by July 1st storms that included high winds and tornadoes, and crews have been busy cleaning up trees. The other parks still closed are Camden State Park south of Marshall, Old Mill State Park and St. Croix State Park. The DNR's Pat Arndt says starting at eight this morning people can begin booking sites at their favorite park. Arndt says reservations can be made a year in advance.
