The Fall Festival at the Gilfillan Estate along Hwy 67 between Redwood Falls and Morgan will be held Sunday, October 2nd from ll:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
As the autumn leaves begin to reveal their beautiful colors and the cool, crisp, air starts to chill our bones, we gather for the many harvest activities at the Gilfillan Estate.
You'll be able to observe the following activities: apple pressing, making homemade soap , butter churning, horseradish production, making homemade ice cream, honey extraction, and rug weaving.
There will be tours of the Gilfillan mansion and the Heritage House, antique car rides, a display of Dan Cochran's leather goods, and a 4H group will give dog-training demonstrations.
The Friends of Gilfillan will serve BBQs, brats, rootbeer floats with homemade ice cream and assorted homemade pies. Listen to old time music throughout the afternoon. Bill Schwandt will have his miniature horses on display also. Bring the family out for a wonderful day of an autumn celebration at the Gilfillan historic site!
