Dolores Irene Anderson





Dolores Irene Anderson age 80 of Pine River, MN, formerly of Richfield and Lamberton, MN died on  February 2, 2012, at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska, MN.
 
Visitation will be on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton, MN.
 
Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:30 at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton.
 
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, MN.

Dolores Irene Anderson was born September 27, 1931 in Tracy, MN the daughter of Hazel (Royer) and Harrison Coulter.  At the age of 80, Dolores Anderson of Pine River, Minnesota, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on February 2, 2012. 
 
She was preceded in death by parents Harrison and Hazel Coulter; brothers – Russell, Vernon, Kenneth and Donald Coulter.  She is survived by husband of 60 years - Donald; children – Gail (Butch) Morrison of LaCygne, KS, Gary (Debbie) Anderson of Chaska, MN, Jeff (Lori) Anderson of Eagan, MN; 6 grandchildren – Jenise (Jeff) Mraz of Wellington, KS, Greg (Brittney) Nelson of Kansas City, MO, Kristi (Matthew) Woods of Mound, MN, Jon Anderson of Cologne, MN, Melanie Anderson and Brian Anderson both of Eagan, MN; 3 great grandchildren – Abby and Dylan Mraz and Lucas Nelson; sister - Lila (Gene) Harnack; sisters-in-law - Ardelle Coulter and Sondra Coulter; and many other relatives and dear friends. 
Dolores and Don’s first date was in 8th grade and they married on August 23, 1951.  Dolores graduated from Lamberton High School in 1949.  She taught country school in Revere, MN.  She then taught 1st grade in Langley View in Hampton, Virginia. 
 
Dolores was always very active in the church, sang in the choir and raised 3 children.  Dolores and Don lived in Lamberton, Richfield and retired in Pine River, MN in 1992 spending their winters in Apache Junction, AZ. 
 
Dolores (Lorsey) was passionate about nature.  She loved her cardinals, bluebirds, wood ducks, loons and eagles.  She loved to garden and looked forward to the visits from her special 4-legged friends. 
 
Dolores deepest values were her faith in the Lord, family and many dear friends.  The love she expressed through everything she said and did truly exemplified what a warm and loving person she was. 
 
We will always remember her humor, playing Greedy, her chocolate chip cookies, apple bars and her showing by example, how to live life to the fullest.  She will remain forever in our hearts.
