Dog still missing from fatal accident

Justin Gustafson, 29, of Redwood Falls died in the four-vehicle crash when a van driven by a 15-year-old apparently failed to stop for a red light on Christmas eve. Six other people also were injured, one of them critically in that accident.

Family members are making a plea to be on the look out for another passenger- a Schnauzer mix fled the scene at the junction of Highways 71 and 7 after the accident.

The dog has been spotted in the Blomkest area. The most recent sighting was Wednesday in the area of Kandiyohi County Roads 16 and 44, southwest of Big Kandiyohi Lake.

He is black and gray and wearing a collar and tags. His name is Lord.

Anyone with information about Lord’s whereabouts is asked to call the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter in Willmar at 235-7612.
