Cedar Mountain teacher named as a Super Scientist



Congratulations to another area teacher on being selected as a FOX 9 Super Scientist Award Winner!   Karen Schulte, 5th grade teacher at Cedar Mountain Elementary in Franklin.

As a winner Ms. Schulte will recieve: 
  • $900 for her classroom
  • Recognition on FOX 9 and My 29:  FOX 9 will be featuring all nine of Super Scientist winners in a thirty minute special that will be aired throughout the fall and winter.  The first two broadcasts of the FOX 9 Science Special are scheduled for Saturday, October 8th from 8:30-9 am on FOX 9 KMSP and Sunday, October 9th from 9-9:30 am on My 29 WFTC.
  • Featured Presenter at FOX 9’s Girls & Science:  Each Super Scientist winner will have 30 minutes to demonstrate one of their favorite experiments or activities at FOX 9’s Girls & Science at the Science Museum of Minnesota between 10 am and 4 pm on Saturday, October 15th.  FOX 9’s Girls and Science provides area kidsand their families the opportunity to take part in fun, hands-on experiments while learning from leading science and tech experts.  Last year more than 6,000 individuals attended the event and we expect even more this year!!  You can see more details on FOX 9’s Girls & Science www.MyFOX9.com.
