Brett Van Meveren





Brett Van Meveren, age 42 of Lamberton, died Friday, February 17, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident.
 
Visitation will be on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN.
 
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN.
 
Burial will be at the Lamberton Cemetery.

Brett Alan VanMeveren was born on June 21, 1969 in Redwood Falls, MN, the son of Ted Dale and Vernida (Wanke) VanMeveren.  He attended Wabasso Public School and worked summers at the family business of Jonver, Inc.; graduating from Wabasso High School in 1987.  Brett attended Alexandria Tech and received his degree in Law Enforcement, taking a position with the Wabasso Police Department.  He returned to the family business until 2006 and most recently he worked for L&S Construction.  Brett was united in marriage to Cheryl Lynn Kronback on April 13, 2010 in Redwood Falls.  Brett liked anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He LOVED to show all his kids the  outdoors, camping with the family, Dodge vehicles and his latest was fur trapping.
Brett died on Friday, February 17, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident at the age of 42 years.
He is survived by his wife – Cheryl Lynn VanMeveren of Lamberton, MN; children – Kayla of Rochester, MN, Brandon, Blaine, Aron all of Lamberton, MN; step-children – Cody and Tyler Denham of Milaca, MN; his mother – Vernida VanMeveren of Wabasso, MN; siblings – Marla (R.G.) Easter of DuQuoin, IL, Brian (Laurel) VanMeveren of Arlington Heights, IL, Luonna (John) Burns of Lakeville, MN, and Shawn (Michelle) VanMeveren of Wabasso, MN; parents-in-law – Larry (Lee) Kronback of Lamberton, MN and Lois Luhman of Redwood Falls, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law – Neil Kronback of Marshall, MN and Krista Kronback of New Ulm, MN; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father – Dale VanMeveren.
