Summary of the Feb. 5 Redwood County Board meeting

The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held February 5, 2019:

 

Approved the agenda; January 22nd minutes; bills, out of state travel for Sarah Reynolds.
Introduced Shannon Ness, Assistant County Attorney, to the Board of Commissioners.
Reynolds provided update on the Child Advocacy Center.
Hunter presented Letter of Support for Veterans Cemetery.
Set a Public Hearing for March 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. to adopt the Codified Ordinance.
Awarded bid to C & B Operations for the purchase of a mower for Plum Creek Park in the amount of $25,062.19 plus applicable taxes.
Entered into County Ditch Authority.
Elected Walling Ditch Authority Chair and Groebner as vice Chair for 2019.
Set a Public Hearing for March 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. for the Redetermination of Benefits for CD #109.
Adopted resolution to approve the transfer of funds from other drainage systems’ accounts to fund negative drainage systems.
Reconvened into Regular session.
Approved the contract for prosecution services between the City of Milroy and Redwood County.
Approved to hire Nickolas Haupt as FT Deputy Sheriff effective February 6, 2019 upon completion of psychology testing at the 2018 LELS Scale Grade, Deputy 1, Step 1 at $21.57 per hour.
Approved to set the Environmental Services Director job description Grade from 18 to 19 due to additional functions, duties and responsibilities due to the Cooperative Agreement with the Redwood County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Approved a monthly stipend of $350.00 and be moved down to the customary step to settle grievance by LELS effective with the pay period starting December 31, 2018.
Approved to pay Road and Bridge bills in the amount of $72,817.02.
