The Brown/Lyon/Redwood/Renville Drug Task Force has ended several long term investigations with multiple arrests in Brown County.
Within the past six months the BLRR Drug task force has conducted numerous operations in the City of New Ulm and Brown County. These operations include 12 separate search warrants being executed and numerous undercover purchases resulting in 31 felony controlled substance arrests/warrant arrests, with multiple more arrests pending.
Six children were removed from residences where controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were located. The BLRR Drug task force worked closely with child protection officers who in turn provided services to the children and their families.
The BLRR Drug task force has seized over $18,500 of currency used to sell or purchase controlled substances. Within the past six months, the BLRR drug task force seized 1,388 grams of methamphetamine, 687 grams of marijuana, prescriptions pills and 10 grams of Marijuana wax. Also seized were 5 firearms located in the residences.
Other Agencies involved in these investigations include the New Ulm Police Department, Sleepy Eye Police Department, Springfield Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brown County Family Services, Minnesota Valley Drug Task Force and the Minnesota BCA.
