Judy A. Just, age 60, of Olivia, died Thursday, March 8, in RC Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Zion Lutheran Church near Boyd. The Rev. Dean Rager will officiate. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens in Montevideo. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church near Boyd.
Judy A. Just was born on November 13, 1957, in Clarkfield, Minnesota to Gerald W. and Della M. (Burroughs) Just. She grew up in Clarkfield and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1976. Following graduation, she attended classes at Willmar Vo-Tech and then began working. After working for some time, she went back to school at Southwest State University and finished her degree in Business Administration. She then worked at the REM Home in Redwood Falls prior to going to work at the United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. She then went to work for Renville County Public Health. When her parent’s health began to fail, Judy returned home to care for them so that they could continue to live in their own home. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church near Boyd, Minnesota. She was a real people person and loved visiting with and helping others. She also loved cats, especially her rescue cat Hunter, and spending time at the lake with Norm.
Survivors include her life partner Norm Shubert of Danube, her niece and nephew: Lisa Just of Idaho, and Patrick (and Sonya) Just of California; her great nieces and nephews: Elijah, Nathanial, and Clara; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Randy.
