(Willmar MN-) According to the West Central Tribune, 16-more charges have been filed against a rural Willmar man accused of having drugs and an illegal stockpile of weapons in his home.
The paper says 46-year-old Chad Monson appeared in Kandiyohi County District Court yesterday for arraignment on the new charges, and unconditional bail was set at $500,000. Court records say a SWAT team searched a storage shed Monson used for his excavating business and found pipe bombs, machine guns, short barreled shotguns and other weapons. Monson is not allowed to possess weapons because of a previous drug conviction out of Renville County.
He already faces 8 other drug and weapons charges after SWAT teams raided his home on the southeast edge of Willmar January 30th.
