Iowa man killed in crash near Granite Falls Monday

A Sioux City, Iowa man was killed in a one vehicle crash east of Granite Falls Monday evening.

The state patrol says at 9:52 p.m. a car driven by 25-year-old Ahmed Hassan was southbound on Highway 23 and blew the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 212.   The car went into the south ditch, rolled 8 or 9 times, and came to rest on its wheels.

Hassan was killed, and two passengers, 25-year-old Yusaf Ahmed of Lexington, Nebraska and 32-year-old Bashir Mire of Sioux City were both taken to the Granite Falls Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
