Redwood Valley High School has announced its 2020-21 ExCEL Award winner as Payton Schueller.  The ExCEL award — Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership — is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, who show leadership qualities, and who work voluntarily in their community.

Payton Schueller is involved in Cross Country, Track, Robotics, NHS, Student Council, Band, and has been on the A Honor roll each of her high school years.  Payton is active in volunteering through her church, animal shelter, and helps to organize the blood drive.  Payton is also a captain for the Cross Country team.

Aubree Hicks and Connor Josephson from Redwood Valley High School have been named this year’s Triple “A” Award nominees. Triple “A” Award winners are students who are recognized for excellence in academics, athletics and the arts.  Established in 1988, the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award (Triple “A” Award) is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The award is given to high school seniors who have a “B” or better grade point average and who participate in league-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.

Connor has a 3.92 GPA and has been involved in Football, Basketball, Golf, Band, and NHS.  He has represented Redwood Valley at State in Football and Basketball along with being all conference in Football, Golf and Basketball.  Connor plans on attending college and majoring in business.

Aubree has a 3.975 GPA is involved in Volleyball, Cross Country,  Basketball, Track and Field, NHS, Band, Robotics, Student council, senior class officer.    She has competed at the state Basketball Tournament and has been all conference in Basketball, volleyball and Track along with honorable mention in Volleyball.   Aubree is planning on attending USD and majoring in Nursing.
