Suspect for Milroy burglaries captured by Sheriff’s Office

Several weekends ago a number of businesses in the Milroy area were broken into, and the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for information.

As a result of tips from the public, the Sheriff’s Office was able to put together a list of possible suspects. A search warrant was executed at an apartment complex in Milroy on Thursday, Jan. 25, by members of the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force.

Property was recovered from the burglaries, and a suspect was taken into custody for a burglary, specifically of the Farmers Co-op Association Elevator. The suspect is being held in the Redwood County jail.
