An Olivia woman is among 10,000 volunteers who have signed-up to help with all the Super Bowl festivities in Minneapolis leading up to the big game February 4th.
Sara Maher of Olivia is a member of Crew 52, who will be helping guests and visitors to the Twin Cities find their way around and get to some of the activities surrounding the game.
Maher says volunteering for the Super Bowl is the opportunity of a life time. She will be working as a host at the Great Wolf Lodge Hotel and Waterpark in Bloomington and then at hotels in downtown Minneapolis where she says there are a lot of fun, and free, events for guests and visitors.
She says they’ve already gone through their training earlier this month, and a lot of it had to do with security.
Maher says Target designed and Cub Foods underwrote the cost of the $800 Club 52 uniforms but they are not supposed to wear them or display them until they are on duty.
