Morton man injured in medical-related crash Thursday morning

On Thursday, Nov. 30, at approximately 12:10 p.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle crash, which had occurred near the intersection of 1st Street and Valley Drive, in the City of Morton.

The preliminary crash investigation revealed that a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado,
driven by 35 year old Bryce Olson of Morton, was travelling east on 1st Street
near Valley Drive in the City of Morton.

Olson experienced a medical emergency while driving and lost consciousness. Bryce’s vehicle collided with a street sign, a parked vehicle and a residence. Olson sustained injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Redwood Area Hospital by North Memorial Ambulance, with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured as a result of the crash.

The total dollar value of damage caused is unknown at this time.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash and was assisted on
scene by: Morton First Responders, Morton Fire Department, North Memorial
Ambulance and the State Patrol.
