NOTICE TO SPECIALTY VEHICLE OWNERS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD FALLS

THE REDWOOD FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE ENFORCING THE FOLLOWING CITY ORDINANCE:

2018-2020 Specialty Vehicle Permits are now available at City Hall at 333 South Washington Street, Redwood Falls.

It is potentially a misdemeanor for any person to operate a specialty vehicle (4-Wheeler/ATV, Motorized Bicycle, Golf Cart or Mini Truck) on a City of Redwood Falls street, alley, sidewalk or other public property without obtaining a permit. All permits will be verified by placing a decal in a clearly visible location on all specialty vehicles.  Each individual operator and/or owner of a specialty vehicle must apply for a permit, they are not transferable.  Permit fee is $30 for a three-year period.

Every application for a permit shall be made on a form supplied by the City and made to the City Clerk and shall contain all of the following information:
The name and address of the applicant.
The nature of the applicant’s physical handicap, if any.
Model name, make, year and serial number of the specialty vehicle.
Current driver’s license or reason for not having a current license.
Evidence of insurance in compliance with the provisions of Minn. Stat. §65B.48, subd. 5, concerning insurance coverage for specialty vehicle.
Other information as the city may require.
