Redwood County Board Meeting Summary for September 19

The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held September 19, 2017:

Approved the agenda; September 5th minutes; bills. Per diems are not allowable.
Introduced Jennifer Kasse, newly hired Dispatcher, to the Board of Commissioners.
No decision on CSAH 101/Dekalb Roundabout project.  Requested alternate options for October 3rd meeting.
Concurred with City of Morgan recommendation to award bid to Ryan Contracting in the amount of $16,568,207.75.
Approved the Auditor-Treasurer consent agenda items: Cash Balance Report; Investment Summary; Budget Reports; and August, 2017 Disbursements.
Approved Order of County Board for Sale of non-conservation lands forfeited to the state for taxes.
Adopted Resolution by County Board authorizing and fixing terms of sale.  Set for October 24th at 9am.
Approved CPS Technology Contract renewal in the amount of $1536.
Authorized Chair Walling to sign letter to Governor Dayton requesting disaster relief funding.
Certified the Preliminary 2018 Levy at 3.0%.
August Jail Population was presented to the Board.
Awarded bid for 3.91 acre parcel of land to Andrew Schiller in the amount of $18,001.
Approved to post for two part-time Custody Officer Positions.
Acknowledged the resignation of Jenna Peterson from the Attorney’s Office effective 9-29-17.
Johnson presented yearly report of tourism in Southern Minnesota.
The commissioners reported on meetings they attended.
