(St. Peter, MN) – The St. Peter girl who went missing on Friday has been found alive.
Police say Mya Ann Arriage was located by deer hunters Sunday about 4 miles north of Saint Peter on the east side of the Minnesota River.
When she was found, she was conscious and holding onto a tree in chest deep water. Police say their boats were on the scene quickly and she was taken into a boat and then to Highway 169 and then airlifted to the hospital.
A relative of Nathan Stoffel says he was the hunter who found Arriage.
Authorities had been searching by air, ground and water since Mya was last seen on the Highway 99 bridge around 4:00 am Friday after earlier wandering out of her residence. She was barefoot at the time and wearing only her pajamas.
Mya has developmental disabilities and is non-verbal.
