Justin made a dramatic entrance into this world, being born three months premature at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis at a weight of two pounds. After a not-so-easy two month stay, Justin came home to Redwood Falls, and hasn’t left since (at least not for long). Justin actually started at KLGR Radio back in 2004, as a part-time announcer, and has been with the company ever since. During that time, he graduated from Redwood Valley High School in 2005, and after starting college at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Saint Cloud State University in 2010. Upon graduation, Justin worked at WeatherNation (now AerisWeather) in Excelsior, where he gained valuable experience in forecasting and delivering the weather. He also had the opportunity to volunteer at the National Weather Service in Aberdeen, SD, which was a fun and valuable experience. Justin became a full-time employee at KLGR in 2012, and serves as host of The Daily Grind mornings on Mix 97.7, and is Music Director and Traffic Manager of both stations. He also prides himself in delivering severe weather information to listeners. He is a member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. In Justin’s free time, he enjoys listening to music, surfing the web, piling up DVR recordings (and occasionally actually watching a few), tracking the weather, playing, coaching, and watching hockey, and spending time outdoors (when the weather cooperates). He is very grateful to work at KLGR and for all of his loyal and kind listeners.
